According to the People's Committee of Can Tho City, the 2024 Vietnam International Agricultural Fair aims to promote, advertise, and introduce the image of the country, people, and development potential of Can Tho City to the provinces of the Mekong Delta, business associations, importers, and domestic and foreign investors.

At the same time, this event also strengthens trade connections, cooperation in developing high-tech agriculture, creating conditions for businesses to meet, seek business cooperation opportunities and promote the export of Vietnam's key agricultural products.
The 2024 Vietnam International Agricultural Fair will take place from November 1-5, 2024 at the Can Tho Trade and Investment Promotion Center (No. 108A Le Loi, Cai Khe Ward, Ninh Kieu District, Can Tho City).
The fair is expected to gather more than 250 booths, with the participation of 100 domestic and international units and enterprises. Notable activities in the fair include: Conference, seminar, training and coaching programs on topics related to production and consumption of agricultural products in the Mekong Delta region and linking agricultural development in Vietnam; trade promotion programs, connecting supply and demand, connecting manufacturers and distributors; inviting delegations of Farmers' Associations of the Mekong Delta provinces to visit and learn about the activities and new products of enterprises participating in the fair.
In addition, there are also direct consulting programs for farmers on knowledge in the agricultural field such as: Cultivation, harvesting, post-harvest preservation processes... from scientists and agricultural experts; connection programs, introducing scientific, technological and innovative products; cultural exchange programs.
To promote the organization of the fair, the People's Committee of Can Tho City has established the Organizing Committee of the Vietnam International Agricultural Fair 2024, in which Mr. Nguyen Thuc Hien, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City, is the Head of the Organizing Committee of the fair; Ms. Nguyen Thi Kieu Duyen, Director of the Center for Investment, Trade Promotion and Exhibition of Can Tho, is the Standing Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee.
