According to The Sun , Spurs have received a £15m offer from MLS side LAFC for the South Korean star. The American club's board consider Son their number one transfer target this summer, believing he not only has great commercial value but also possesses the expertise that has been proven over the past decade.
However, LAFC still need Son's consent, as he does not want to leave top-flight football in Europe. Although the Korean international's form declined last season, he is still Tottenham's leading explosive player in all competitions with extensive international experience.
Son's future is likely to be decided after Tottenham's Asian tour. If the former Bayer Leverkusen star is not included in the squad, Spurs could lose up to 75% of the fee they receive for playing in South Korea.
The problem now lies in Tottenham's attacking line, which is over-stocked with strikers. After adding Mohammed Kudus from West Ham and buying Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich, manager Frank now has six strikers in his squad. In addition, Yoane Wissa, Frank's former student at Brentford, is also being sought after by Spurs.
