This victory helps the Nghe An team officially stay in the V-League. SLNA currently has 26 points, 4 points more than the second-to-last team SHB Da Nang, while LPBank V-League 2024-2025 has only one more round to finish.
In another match at Thong Nhat Stadium (HCMC), HCMC FC won 1-0 against Binh Dinh. The only goal in this match was scored by foreign player Pedro in the 60th minute, after a header.
Losing this match, Binh Dinh fell to the bottom of the rankings with 21 points. The risk of relegation is looming over Binh Dinh team.
Meanwhile, Binh Dinh's main rival in the race for relegation, SHB Da Nang, had an important 2-2 draw with Ha Tinh on the opponent's field.
SHB Da Nang currently has 22 points, second to last in the rankings. SHB Da Nang is holding the right to decide the ticket to participate in the play-off match to maintain the ranking at the end of the season.
At Lach Tray Stadium, Hai Phong FC won 4-2 against Binh Duong. However, the result of this match did not affect the relegation chances of both teams. At the same time, both sides are no longer able to compete for medals in the current season.
