What seems like a joke but is actually the ironic truth is happening to many students in this year's admissions season. After days of hard studying and sleepless nights, the score is finally enough to reach the gate of the university of their dreams.
However, the system crossed out their names.
The pain called "Application for Admission Consideration"
In the past few hours, many candidates have encountered situations where they have more than enough points to pass the exam but the system reports that they have failed.
Four days ago, when universities announced their admission scores, many candidates cheered and celebrated, announcing to their families, relatives, friends, and neighbors: "I passed the university entrance exam."
However, just a few days later, when the Ministry of Education and Training asked candidates to confirm their admission, many were shocked to see the words: "Failed".
“Shocked!” - that was the feeling of Nguyen Tan ( Quang Ninh ) and many other candidates in the past 24 hours, since the Ministry of Education and Training opened the search portal. Confusion and fear have taken over their minds, the 2007 students have endured enough “seven ups and three downs” to reach the day of reaping the results.
The failure despite meeting the required score tore apart the joy of being admitted that had just begun to blossom. The family lost sleep and appetite, the whole family was restless, because it was not the students' fault, yet they had to bear the consequences.
“I was worried and depressed, my whole family went everywhere to find a solution. I also called the school dozens of times but the phone was busy or no one picked up,” Duy Duc ( Dong Thap ) recounted.
When candidates who had enough points but were unjustly failed came to the school to ask for help, they received a seemingly simple request, but it rubbed salt into their hearts: "Submit a request for review."

This is the requirement of most schools and among them, a pre-written application came from a university with emotionless words, begging for salvation.
“ During the 2025 university admission process, I found myself suitable and had a satisfactory test result with the school's conditions. Now, after having the official results but not as expected, I really hope the school will review my admission results and support me to enroll.
I respectfully request the Admissions Council to consider and approve my admission and admission to become a student of the school.
I hereby certify that my information and score data are completely accurate and that I will fully comply with the relevant regulations of the school .
It is hard to describe the feelings of the students at that time. Years of hard studying, passing the exam, thinking they had reached their dream of going to university, but now, everything was overturned by a mistake that was not their fault. It was even more painful when they had to bow their heads and write applications, begging for something that was originally theirs.
"It's not your fault"
Dr. Phan Anh, an education expert, confirmed this. According to him, this is the fault of the system and the admission process. The candidates are not at fault, so why should they suffer?
Dr. Phan Anh emphasized that universities need to review candidates' wishes. If students have enough points but are reported by the system as failing, the school must proactively contact them to resolve the issue, not force them to explain. Because the fault is not theirs, do not put the pain and hurt on them and their families again.
"If you cannot compensate for the mental damage to the children and their families, then do not cause more pain and insecurity," said Mr. Phan Anh.
This is the time for universities to show their understanding and responsibility, not only as training institutions, but also as companions to the future of young generations. Please do not let silent applications become an obsession, and tears falling on paper become a sad story that can never be forgotten.
This application is more than just an administrative procedure. It is a symbol of helplessness, proof that you are paying the price for someone else’s mistakes. It has turned pride in academic achievement into shame, and the desire to become a student into a plea.
