Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Finance Bui Van Khang emphasized: This is a practical and meaningful step forward in the innovation process of the financial sector. The application not only changes the traditional reporting method, but also contributes to the effective implementation of administrative reform tasks, improves service quality, and supports the Government in macroeconomic management.
The "Vietnam Customs Data" application will initially be deployed for leaders of the Ministry of Finance, the Customs Department and units under the ministry, and a number of relevant agencies from central to local levels. The system allows access and exploitation of import and export data by day, week and cumulatively up to the reporting time. The data is presented in many formats: tables, visual graphs, meeting the requirements for monitoring, analyzing and evaluating the actual situation.
In addition, the system is designed for users to access anytime, anywhere, helping to save time, reduce costs, increase initiative and flexibility in using information. This is an important foundation to help improve the management and operation of state agencies, towards the goal of e-government and modern public administration.
Deputy Minister Bui Van Khang also recommended that units continue to upgrade and connect "Vietnam Customs Data" with other digital platforms of the Finance sector and related ministries and sectors. In addition, promoting the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in data processing and analysis is also considered an important direction to improve the quality and safety of the information system.
