According to feedback, pharmaceutical management in Vietnam, despite having certain legal frameworks, still has many loopholes, creating conditions for counterfeit drugs to infiltrate the distribution system, especially in the online environment.

The regulations on administrative sanctions for the production and trade of counterfeit drugs are still lenient and not deterrent enough. Meanwhile, the negative impacts of counterfeit drugs do not stop at causing economic losses but also entail extremely serious consequences for patients' health...

Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long requested the Ministry of Health to continue to resolutely implement solutions directed by the Prime Minister; strengthen the implementation of solutions to control and handle counterfeit drugs.
