Ms. Hue said that she was assigned to participate in organizing the High School Graduation Exam at a testing site in Hanoi City as a supervisor in the hallway. Right in the first exam session, the Literature exam, at the testing site, there was a candidate who hid a phone in his pants.

About 10 minutes after the test started, the invigilator discovered the phone sticking out of the candidate's pocket and, of course, according to the regulations, the candidate was given a report and suspended from the exam.

The candidate explained that he had no intention of cheating on the exam but was afraid that it would be lost in the luggage storage area, so he hid it in his pocket where no one would find out.

Still moved, the female teacher shared: "Perhaps I will never forget the moment this morning when a student at the examination council was suspended for having a phone on him after the exam questions were distributed. All procedures were carried out according to regulations: making a record, suspending the exam, and taking the student out of the exam room. But after all those "correct" things, there was the confused, scared, choked eyes of a child who had just lost a part of his future."

During lunch break, the teachers who were in charge of the exam talked a lot about the candidates who were suspended from the exam. Everyone was sad and regretful. One moment of carelessness, one phone that was forgotten and the price to pay was an exam.

Although reminded many times, it is necessary to control more strictly and thoroughly during the test before entering the exam room, the teachers helped me avoid that mistake.

The incident happened when the candidate took the Literature exam. According to the regulations, the candidate who was suspended from the exam will not be allowed to take the next exams.

But yesterday afternoon, before the Math exam, the suspended candidate still waited at the exam room door with eyes full of fear and hope to be called into the exam room, but there was no miracle. The suspended candidate was invited out of the exam area.

At that time, Ms. Hue was assigned to supervise the male candidates in the exam room in the morning. Seeing the male student turn away, she followed him to the stairs (still in her assigned supervisory position). The feeling she felt at that time was pity for the student.

Ms. Hue told her students: "Now go home and tell your parents. Maybe they will scold you, but don't be angry because they are surprised, they love you and are worried about your future. I hope your parents are calm enough, then they will love you very much, just like now, I love you very much."

She said, watching her son walk away, her shoulders shaking as she tried not to cry. She borrowed a pencil from a candidate and flipped the exam notice to the back, wrote her phone number and said: "I am the exam supervisor today. If tonight or tomorrow you find it too difficult and don't know who to talk to, please call me."

Ms. Hue shared that having been a homeroom teacher for many years, she has discovered and counseled many students, so she understands and loves her students very much.

“I stood in the hallway, where I was assigned to supervise, silently watching him walk to the parking lot until he disappeared towards the school gate… I stood there, holding the handrail and suddenly tears fell because of a foolish action of a student,” Ms. Hue confided.

According to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, in the morning of the Literature exam, the city had 3 candidates who violated exam regulations and were suspended from the exam.

The Ministry of Education and Training also reported that at the end of the first day of the exam, 15 candidates nationwide violated the regulations and were suspended from the exam.

According to the regulations, candidates who are suspended from taking any exam will receive a score of 0 for that exam and will not be allowed to take the next exams. Their entire exam results will be canceled, meaning they will not be recognized as High School Graduates.
