According to The Athletic, Chelsea's big bosses have discussed the transfer of the young Spanish talent, although they have not made an official offer.

However, the London team approached Fermin Lopez's representative to ask about the possibility of joining The Blues.

At 22, Lopez faces an uncertain future at the Nou Camp due to the depth of Barcelona's squad.

Last season, Fermin Lopez had to compete with Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, Pedri, Dani Olmo and Gavi for a place in the starting lineup.

Barca's loan of Marcus Rashford has made the Catalan team's attack even more cramped. Therefore, Lopez's chances will also be less.

Chelsea are reportedly willing to pay €50m (£43m) for Lopez, but Barca are demanding a fee of over €60m.
