After 10 hours, a fire broke out from the restaurant above, a 3-story house on Cao Thang Street, Ward 4. At that time, the staff used a mini fire extinguisher to put out the fire but failed, so they called the authorities.
Seeing the fire quickly spread, the column of smoke rising high, some people ran outside.
District 3 Fire Police dispatched many vehicles and dozens of soldiers to the scene. The area around the building was blocked off.
Police then split into several directions, using water hoses to control the fire after 20 minutes. Authorities also sprayed water to cool it down and prevent it from spreading.
