(NLDO) - A fire broke out in a row of boarding houses, causing property damage and injuring two people.

On March 15, Long Thanh My Ward Police, Thu Duc City (HCMC) are investigating the cause of the fire in the area.

Fire police were dispatched to the scene.

At around 10:30 a.m. the same day, a fire broke out in a row of rented houses on Street 1A, Long Thanh My Ward. Upon discovering the fire, local residents tried to put it out but were unsuccessful.

The fire then flared up fiercely, with a column of smoke rising high. At this time, people in the boarding house also tried to run outside and called the authorities.

Thu Duc City Fire Police then mobilized vehicles and officers and soldiers to coordinate with Long Thanh My Ward Police to put out the fire. The fire was quickly extinguished afterwards.

According to local authorities, initially, a woman suffered burns to her legs while escaping and is receiving first aid from medical staff.

According to witnesses at the scene, two people were injured in the fire.

Some of the property inside the house was destroyed by fire.

The column of smoke rose high and could be seen from afar.
