On the morning of July 18, the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation of An Giang province coordinated with the Provincial Police to organize the opening ceremony of the red journey program "Red Drops of Love" in 2025.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Luu Kim Oai, Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation, emphasized that over the years, the program "Red Journey Connecting Vietnamese Blood" in the province has attracted many cadres, union members, youth, volunteers and people to participate.
The program has both successfully carried out its mission of mobilizing and receiving blood and spreading a meaningful message about the value of life and the importance of donating blood to save lives, contributing to raising awareness among all classes of people in the province about voluntary blood donation and blood transfusion safety, expanding the target group of voluntary blood donors to the community, building and developing a reserve force of blood donors.

On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, the People's Committee of An Giang province, and the Director of An Giang Provincial Police honored and rewarded 68 exemplary voluntary blood donors of the provincial police force in 2025 for their achievements in participating in voluntary blood donation many times.

The Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation in An Giang province coordinated with organizations and individuals to support 20 gifts for poor patients being treated at the following hospitals: General, Obstetrics and Pediatrics, and Oncology.
After the opening ceremony, more than 400 volunteers donated blood at the blood donation festival "Blood Drops of Love for the People", in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Public Security Traditional Day and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection.

Each drop of voluntary blood is not only a medicine to save people but also a heart of love, sharing difficulties and misfortunes and adding life to the sick. With the enthusiastic participation of all levels and sectors and the positive response of the whole community, the voluntary blood donation movement of An Giang province has achieved many encouraging results, contributing to ensuring the amount of blood for emergency and treatment in the province, especially during Tet and summer...”, said Mr. Luu Kim Oai.
