Welcoming the 1st Congress of Hiep Thanh Commune Party Committee, term 2025-2030: Impressive achievements and aspirations for breakthroughs

The first Congress of the Party Committee of Hiep Thanh commune, term 2025-2030, is not only an important political event, marking a new stage of a newly merged administrative unit, but also a clear demonstration of the spirit of solidarity, the will to overcome difficulties and the aspiration to rise of all cadres, party members and people in the commune.

Overcoming the initial challenges from the merger of the three communes of Hiep Thanh, Lien Hiep and Hiep An (former Duc Trong district), the last term recorded many proud milestones, laying a solid foundation for the goal of comprehensive and sustainable development in the next 5 years.

Overcoming difficulties, achieving many positive results

In the 2020-2025 term, despite facing many difficulties and challenges, the Party Committee and government of the three communes (before the merger) have made constant efforts, achieving positive results in all fields, affirming their mettle and resilience.

In particular, focusing on building the Party politically , being steadfast with the goals and principles of Party building; creatively applying Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought to orient and propose leadership and direction measures to ensure suitability with the actual situation of localities, agencies and units. Paying attention to effectively implementing training, fostering and improving the political capacity in both theory and practice for cadres and Party members.

Economically , agriculture continues to affirm its role as a pillar for local economic development. The commune has proactively shifted strongly to high-tech and organic agriculture, with key crops and livestock such as vegetables, flowers, dairy cows, pigs and silkworm cocoons. Notably, the product branding has achieved impressive results with 25 OCOP products. The production - consumption linkage has been strengthened, with 2,640 households participating in the linkage, an increase of 496 households compared to 5 years ago, contributing to enhancing the value and competitiveness of Hiep Thanh agricultural products.

Processing industry and handicraft industry also develop based on the advantage of agricultural raw materials and especially traditional weaving, creating stable jobs for local workers.

Transport, education, health and cultural infrastructure have received strong investment with a total budget capital of over 350 billion VND, increasingly meeting the requirements of socio-economic development. In particular, Hiep Thanh has attracted 31 non-budget investment projects with a total capital of up to 890 billion VND, demonstrating the attractiveness and great potential of the locality in the eyes of investors. The business and collective economic sector has developed dynamically with 241 enterprises, 5,352 business households, 14 cooperatives and 7 cooperative groups, making important contributions to growth and job creation.

Along with that, the cultural and social fields have many positive changes. Traditional cultural values of ethnic groups are preserved and strongly promoted, the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" takes place vigorously, receiving widespread response.

The national target program on new rural construction and the sustainable poverty reduction program continue to be effectively implemented, the multidimensional poverty rate has decreased sharply, exceeding the resolution's target, showing a clear improvement in people's lives...

According to comrade Hoang Anh Tuan - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Hiep Thanh commune, in the period of 2025 - 2030, the commune aims to maximize its potential and advantages, while effectively mobilizing investment resources to build synchronous infrastructure. The focus is on developing high-tech agriculture, promoting production and consumption linkages, along with shifting the economic structure towards increasing the proportion of industry, construction, trade and services.

Hiep Thanh will also ensure environmental sanitation, comprehensively develop culture and society, preserve national identity and constantly improve the material and spiritual life of the people. At the same time, promote democracy, ensure social justice, maintain political security, social order and safety, effectively prevent and combat corruption and negativity. Continue to build a clean and strong Party and political system, promote the strength of great national unity with the goal of building a comprehensive and sustainable Hiep Thanh commune.

Hiep Thanh proposed a number of targets for the new term: Striving to achieve an average gross regional domestic product (GRDP) growth rate of about 10.2 - 10.7% in the 2025 - 2030 period; growth by industry and sector: Agriculture, forestry and fishery increased by an average of about 5.5 - 6.0%; industry - construction increased by an average of about 13.9 - 14.5%; trade - services increased by an average of about 11 - 12%/year.

The average annual growth rate of total state budget revenue in the area is 10-11%; the average annual growth rate of total product value in the area is 10.5-11%; the average income per capita in the area by 2030 compared to 2025 increases by 45%.

The commune also strives to build a commune that meets advanced new rural standards by 2027; meets model new rural standards by 2028; the multidimensional poverty rate decreases by an average of 0.14% or more per year, of which multidimensional poverty among ethnic minorities decreases by an average of 0.2% or more per year. The multidimensional poverty rate by 2030 will decrease to less than 1%; maintain and improve the quality of communes that meet national criteria on health; the rate of people participating in health insurance will reach 95% or more. By 2030, 98% of households will meet cultural standards, 18/18 villages will achieve the title of cultural village; the urbanization rate by 2030 will reach over 60%...

100% of active party members study the Party's directives and resolutions; 100% of party members, cadres, civil servants and public employees register to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle. Every year, over 90% of party organizations and party members are evaluated and classified as having fulfilled their tasks well or better; the Party Committee has fulfilled its tasks well. The rate of new party members admitted each year is 3% or more compared to the total number of party members.

With clear goals and targets, along with the high determination of the entire Party, government and people, Hiep Thanh commune is ready for a breakthrough development period, towards a comprehensive and sustainable future, contributing to the common development of Lam Dong province and the whole country in the "era of national growth".
