Rac Bridge has basically completed repairs and traffic has been allowed to circulate since the morning of July 17.

(Baohatinh.vn) - The Rac Bridge on National Highway 1 in Ha Tinh has basically completed the repair of expansion joints, concrete for the girder wings and asphalt concrete for the road surface, and vehicles can move from July 17.

On the afternoon of July 16, Investment and Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company 126 mobilized human resources, machinery and equipment to carry out the asphalt concrete paving of the Rac bridge on National Highway 1 in Cam Trung commune, Ha Tinh province.





Asphalt concrete pavement is the final task before completing the emergency repair project of Rac bridge on National Highway 1 through Ha Tinh.

By the late afternoon of July 16, the asphalt concrete paving of the Garbage Bridge was basically completed. After compaction, the asphalt concrete layer of the bridge was 7cm thick.

When the Rubbish Bridge deck meets technical requirements, the concrete blocks previously used by the contractor to block it during construction will be removed and allowed for traffic.

According to the confirmation of the investor and contractor, from the morning of July 17, vehicles will be allowed to circulate on both units of Rac bridge.

Previously, the contractor completed the repair of the broken concrete of the girder wing slab (concrete layer covering the end of the bridge girder) on the south side of the Rac bridge.

Previously, when the bridge abutment's concrete beam plate broke, the road management unit had to use many wooden planks to reduce vibration.

At the locations where there are cracks, the contractor has also patched them with cement concrete.

The Garbage Bridge girder section is also supplemented with cross beams to create a more solid connection.

The bridge pier is covered with an additional "coat" of cement concrete.

Because the bridge piers are often in water and are easily corroded, in the long run they can easily affect the safety of the structure, so adding an extra "coat" is very necessary.

During the construction process, some arising items such as rusted bolts, additional steps, and handrails were also handled.
