Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism deploys tasks for the last months of the year

On the morning of July 17, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) held a conference to review the work in the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2025. Mr. Nguyen Van Hung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of MCST chaired the conference. The conference was connected online to 34 connecting points in provinces and cities across the country. At the Khanh Hoa province connecting point, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism attended the conference.

In the first 6 months of the year, the work of culture, sports and tourism has achieved important and quite comprehensive results. Specifically, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has developed, promulgated and submitted to competent authorities 25 legal documents; was assigned by the Government and the Prime Minister to implement 6 projects; arranged and streamlined 5 administrative agencies... In the field of cultural heritage, 5 relics were ranked as special national relics by the Prime Minister; 162 intangible cultural heritages were included in the List of National Intangible Cultural Heritages. Vietnamese sports have won 337 international medals. The total number of international visitors in the first 6 months reached more than 10.6 million (an increase of 20.7% over the same period in 2024). In the last months of the year, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will focus on guiding and implementing decentralization and authority assignment in the sector when organizing 2-level local governments. At the same time, implementing programs and projects after approval, including: National target program on cultural development for the period 2025 - 2035; Project "Internationalization of national cultural identity, nationalization of world cultural quintessence"; Strategy for developing Vietnam's cultural industry to 2030, vision to 2045; Entertainment industry project. Along with that, focusing on directing and successfully organizing events to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2; continuing to implement tasks of developing science , technology, innovation, digital transformation, administrative reform, etc.
