On the morning of June 12, 2025, at the 9th session, the 15th National Assembly voted to pass a resolution on the arrangement of provincial-level administrative units in 2025. From 63 provinces and cities, the administrative map was rearranged into 34 provincial-level administrative units (including 28 provinces and 6 cities).
Accordingly, the boundaries, natural areas, and scale of each province and city have changed. The 4 extreme points of East - West - South - North also have changes in administrative boundary information.
North Pole
The northernmost point (coordinates: 23°22'59"N 105°20'20"E) is a destination not to be missed when visitors come to Dong Van stone plateau. After merging with Tuyen Quang , the information of the northernmost point was changed to Lung Cu commune, Tuyen Quang province .

The West Pole
The westernmost point of the country is located at the border junction between Vietnam, China and Laos, where a rooster crows and all three countries can hear it. The westernmost point is famous for the kilometer zero milestone on top of A Pa Chai, Muong Nhe district, Dien Bien province.
After the merger, the westernmost point has a new address in Sin Thau commune, Dien Bien province.

Far East
The Easternmost point is also known as the first place to welcome the sunrise on the mainland in Vietnam. This location is currently located on Hon Gom peninsula, Dai Lanh commune, Khanh Hoa province.

South Pole
The southernmost point of Vietnam is located in Dat Mui commune, Ca Mau province. This is the southernmost point on the mainland of our country.
Not only having an important geographical location, the southernmost point is also a place that tourists visit on their journey to conquer the four mainland points of the Fatherland, as well as when coming to Ca Mau.
