This is not only the result of personal efforts but also a testament to the liberaleducation model that provides American education in Vietnam, along with interdisciplinary teaching methods that closely link theory and practice.

With the mission of nurturing and inspiring generations of scientists , engineers, intellectuals, and artists, Fulbright School equips students with a solid academic foundation, sharp critical thinking, and independent research skills, as the foundation for confidently stepping out into the world.

Impressive achievements nurtured in a liberal education environment

Among the Fulbright graduates who have made their mark on the international academic scene, the most notable achievements are those from STEM majors. Le Thi Hong Ha, a graduate of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, won a full scholarship for the PhD program in Statistics and Data Science at the National University of Singapore and in Computer Science and Engineering at Nanyang Technological University (Singapore).

Sharing about her experience at Fulbright School, Ha said: “What I appreciate most about studying at the school is the personalized classroom model, where students receive close guidance from tutors and a curriculum that builds core understanding.

Thanks to that, I am more proactive in asking questions, debating and having constructive exchanges as well as training independent thinking, confidence and the ability to present clear views. That solid academic foundation is the stepping stone that helps me achieve good results and be recognized by universities around the world ."

Ho Bao Tran, a new graduate of the Integrative Science major, who received a full scholarship from the Japanese Government (MEXT) for her master's degree in Physiology at Nagoya University, shared: “At the Fulbright School, in addition to the interdisciplinary curriculum that helps approach knowledge in a multidimensional way, what I find valuable is the positive and inspiring academic atmosphere.

In class, tutors organize reading groups and discuss scientific articles to practice in-depth document analysis skills. Early exposure to academic research is a necessary preparation for graduate studies and future research.”

Solid foundation and support for international expansion

Not only imparting knowledge, the Fulbright School faculty always stands side by side to support each student's journey. For Hong Ha, that companionship comes not only from class hours, but also from private exchange sessions (office hours), where you receive personalized guidance for your post-graduate path.

“The tutors not only helped me identify my goals, but also supported me in building effective study and application strategies,” Ha said.

Dr. Le Nhat Tan, lecturer of Applied Mathematics, shared about the interdisciplinary approach at Fulbright School: “Thanks to the liberal education model, students are able to study many subjects in other fields such as Finance, Computer Science, Econometrics, Sociology, etc. Thereby, they are exposed to many practical topics using Applied Mathematics.”

According to him, this is also the difference between Applied Mathematics and other STEM majors at Fulbright School compared to other schools.

Bao Tran said: "Dr. Hong Dung - my supervisor - is the one who inspired me to pursue the field of Cell Biology and Physiology, a difficult field but with great value in scientific and medical research. Not only did she support me academically, she also introduced me to 2 summer internship programs in Japan, the opportunity to work directly with the world's leading professors. Those experiences have equipped me with practical experience - the foundation for me to confidently continue my journey to graduate school."

Fulbright University Vietnam is gradually affirming its liberal arts model as a solid launching pad for young people pursuing science, technology and innovation - essential pillars of the digital age and technological age.
