Ca Mau will have many activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day

At the meeting, representatives of the Department of Information and Communications, the Provincial Journalists Association and press agencies discussed and contributed ideas so that the activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day would be organized thoughtfully, practically and effectively with many appropriate contents and forms, with focus and key points, creating positive propaganda and dissemination effects, highlighting the role and position of the press in social life.

Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province Nguyen Minh Luan said that the funding for organizing the commemorative activities will include budget and socialized sources. Accordingly, there will be activities such as: exhibitions (combining photo and artifact exhibitions); visits to veteran journalists, people with contributions to the journalism career, families of martyred journalists; social charity activities, etc.

"It is important that press agencies must unite and bond, creating stable conditions for journalists' lives," the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized.

Activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025) aim to widely disseminate the glorious tradition and great contributions of Ca Mau press in the struggle for independence, building and developing the homeland and the country; honor and commend those with many achievements and contributions to journalism work in Ca Mau. Thereby, encouraging and motivating the press and journalists to promote their role and responsibility as the voice of the Party and the State, as a forum for the people on the ideological and cultural front; creating social consensus to effectively implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, contributing to building the homeland and the country.

Regarding the “Comprehensive communication and promotion project about Ca Mau province”, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Luan suggested that the project should be revised and completed, including reassessing the potentials and strengths of the province, how communication activities have contributed to the further development of Ca Mau, as well as the limitations of communication work in the past. In addition, it is necessary to define specific communication tasks, such as communication about Ca Mau shrimp, culture, tourism , people, creating the image of Ca Mau tourism, etc.
