The Vietnam U21 women's volleyball team is in high spirits after two victories against Indonesia and Serbia. Meanwhile, the Canada U21 team has lost all matches since the beginning of the tournament.
This time, coach Nguyen Trong Linh changed one position in the starting lineup. Middle blocker Le Thuy Linh was arranged to start the game, replacing Le Nhu Anh. The remaining positions remained the same, including Dang Thi Hong, Pham Quynh Huong, Ngo Thi Bich Hue, Nguyen Phuong Quynh, Lai Thi Khanh Huyen and libero Ha Kieu Vy.
In the first minutes of set 1, the two teams created a tense, chasing game. After that, U21 Vietnam gradually took the lead to win 25-19.
In set 2, coach Nguyen Trong Linh's team took the initiative for most of the time. However, carelessness in the final minutes caused them to lose regrettably 24-26.
Also in this set, libero Ha Kieu Vy was replaced by Nguyen Lan Vy. It is unclear whether there were any unfortunate injuries to U21 Vietnam or not.
Fortunately, this change did not affect the team's results much. In set 3, U21 Vietnam did not attack or block as effectively as their opponents. However, they rarely made regrettable mistakes. On the contrary, U21 Canada lost by themselves with 24 missed shots. U21 Vietnam won 25-19 in this set.
In set 4, everything suddenly became surprisingly easy. High morale and varied playing style helped U21 Vietnam quickly lead 6-0. U21 Canada had to consult early, but could not improve. The Vietnamese girls deepened the gap to 13-0 before losing the first point in this set.
In the end, they created an unbelievable score of 25-5 in set 4, winning 3-1 overall. This result also helped U21 Vietnam win the 3rd victory at the U21 World Championship this year. Coach Nguyen Trong Linh's team is getting closer to the ticket to the round of 16.
