Attending the program were Lieutenant Colonel Ngo Khanh - Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command; Most Venerable Thich Quang Tam - Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Tay Ninh Province; Doctor, Physician Ho Tan Phat - Head of the Department of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology, Cho Ray Hospital, and representatives of local departments, agencies and branches.
Within the framework of the activity, more than 900 people were directly examined, provided health consultation, diagnosed with diseases and given free medicine by a team of doctors and nurses.
The Organizing Committee also presented many practical gifts, with a total cost of more than 1 billion VND, contributing to sharing difficulties and encouraging people in border areas to work, produce and stabilize their lives.
Speaking at the program, Lieutenant Colonel Ngo Khanh - Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command affirmed that the activities of medical examination, medicine provision and gift giving contribute to community health care, helping to detect and treat diseases promptly. This also demonstrates the affection and responsibility of the armed forces, doctors, nurses and monks towards the people.
He expressed his hope that through the support of units and benefactors, people in border areas will have more motivation to overcome difficulties, raise awareness of health care, build a prosperous and happy life, and contribute to consolidating the "people's hearts" at the front line of the Fatherland./.
