On May 10, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Binh Duong province (Binh Duong Provincial Youth Union) held a press conference to announce the program to honor outstanding young citizens and promising young faces of Binh Duong province in 2024.

From 115 applications sent from departments, branches, unions, and affiliated youth organizations, the organizing committee selected a list of 10 nominees for the title "Outstanding Young Citizens of Binh Duong Province" and 15 "Promising Young Faces of Binh Duong Province" in 2024.

The program to meet and honor young citizens and promising young faces will be held on May 16 at the WTC Expo Exhibition Center in Binh Duong province.

Ms. Tran Thi Diem Trinh - Secretary of Binh Duong Provincial Youth Union - said that the commendation program aims to spread the spirit of learning and creative work among union members and young people, contributing to socio-economic development.

Responding to reporters' questions about nominating and selecting young citizens with initiatives and achievements contributing to improving production in businesses and factories, which are typical fields in the "industrial capital" of Binh Duong, the program's organizers said they were looking for and calling for nominations for these cases.

However, since this is the first year the program has been organized, there are not many typical nominations from factories and businesses. The organizing committee will continue to expand promotion and seek nominations in the following organizations.

The program's rules are to honor outstanding young citizens under 35 years old, so in case a citizen has achievements that exceed the age limit, the organizing committee will introduce and nominate them to other honor programs of the province.

In addition, for employees in enterprises, there is also a separate "Good Young Worker" award held every 2 years.

Binh Duong Provincial Youth Union honors young citizens annually

2024 is the first year that the program to honor outstanding young citizens and promising young faces is organized by Binh Duong Provincial Youth Union. The program will continue to be organized annually, in coordination with Le Phong Group.

In addition to the reported achievements, the organizing committee also organized information channels and votes to collect public opinions on the nominated examples.
