During the past term, the Party Committee of the Provincial Border Guard Command has strictly implemented the directives, resolutions and orders of the superiors, concretizing them into policies and solutions suitable to the practical situation. Many targets and tasks set out in the term resolution have been completed beyond expectations.

Notably, the work of advising and synchronously implementing border measures, managing and firmly protecting territorial sovereignty , border security, seas and islands; effectively preventing and combating the Covid-19 pandemic; fighting against crimes; doing well in border diplomacy and participating in socio-economic development in border areas.

In the fight against crime, the unit has cracked down on 30 cases, including major cases of human trafficking, illegal immigration, drugs, smuggling and military weapons. It has handled 6,512 cases with 10,091 subjects, seized more than 173 kg of drugs, 195 kg of marijuana, more than 1.36 million liters of DO oil, 562,337 packs of foreign cigarettes, nearly 1.6 tons of firecrackers and many other exhibits. With its achievements, the unit was honored to receive the Second Class Military Exploit Medal from the State and many other noble awards.

Mass mobilization work has been focused on, contributing to strengthening the people's hearts and minds at the border. The provincial Border Guard has mobilized to donate 11,275 gifts, built 204 "Border Warm Homes", houses of gratitude, and great solidarity houses; sponsored 139 children in difficult circumstances inside and outside the border, with a total support value of about 65 billion VND.

The Congress determined the direction and goals for the 2025 - 2030 term: to continue building a comprehensively strong An Giang Provincial Border Guard force with a streamlined organization and effective and efficient operations; improve the quality of training and discipline enforcement; promote the application of science and technology, digital transformation, administrative reform, and promote the emulation movement "Digital Education for the People" in the entire unit. Strive for 100% of Party committees, Party organizations and Party members to complete their annual tasks, of which over 90% complete their tasks well and excellently; admit 50 or more new Party members during the term.

Speaking at the congress, Colonel Nguyen Van Nganh acknowledged and commended the efforts and outstanding achievements of the provincial Border Guard officers, party members and soldiers during the past term.

He requested the unit to continue to thoroughly grasp the Party's viewpoints and guidelines, proactively advise and deploy solutions to firmly protect the sovereignty of borders, seas and islands; build a disciplined, disciplined and comprehensively strong unit associated with building a clean and strong Party organization. At the same time, closely coordinate with functional forces and local authorities in managing and protecting the border, preventing IUU fishing, promoting border diplomacy, contributing to building a peaceful, friendly, cooperative and sustainable border area.
