Sharing at the program, comrade Tran Thi Dieu Thuy, Vice Chairwoman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee said that from July 1, 2025, Con Dao district officially became Con Dao special zone, Ho Chi Minh City. This is a sacred and proud milestone, not only contributing to the completion of the city's administrative organization model but also affirming the particularly important role of Con Dao in politics, national defense, security, as well as the potential to become a cultural - tourist destination of the country and the world.
In commemoration of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), in order to express the affection and responsibility of the Party Committee, government and people of Ho Chi Minh City for the education cause in Con Dao, the delegation presented books and learning equipment to students of 3 schools: Cao Van Ngoc Primary School, Le Hong Phong Secondary School and Vo Thi Sau High School.
Vice Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Tran Thi Dieu Thuy respectfully acknowledged and praised the silent but meaningful efforts of the staff and teachers in Con Dao. These are teachers who have always persevered in their classes and schools, keeping the flame of knowledge alive at the forefront.
Comrade Tran Thi Dieu Thuy affirmed that the city's leaders will continue to pay attention, invest and accompany the education sector in the special zone, contributing to building a strong next generation, contributing to the strong and sustainable development of Con Dao in the future.
