On September 6, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Fatherland Front Committee of Long Bien Ward held a ceremony to attach the City-level project plaque for the project to renovate and upgrade Thach Ban High School. This is a practical project to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the success of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Pham Thi Bich Hang, Vice Chairwoman of Long Bien Ward People's Committee, reported on the project implementation process. Thach Ban High School was established in 2012 and is now one of the key educational institutions in the capital. However, over time, many items have deteriorated, not meeting teaching requirements, requiring renovation and upgrading according to national standards level 2.

The project was implemented over nearly 2 years with a total investment of nearly 66 billion VND. The project focused on adding classrooms, functional rooms, renovating technical infrastructure, fire prevention and fighting systems and many auxiliary items. The ward People's Committee closely directed and coordinated with the construction and supervision units to ensure quality, safety and progress.
Upon completion, Thach Ban High School will have a spacious and modern appearance, meeting the learning needs of nearly 2,100 students. The project will help reduce the workload for neighboring schools, while also being consistent with the urbanization process and educational development goals of the City.
Expressing her joy at the ceremony, Ms. Bui Thuy Linh, Principal of Thach Ban High School, expressed her deep gratitude for the attention and direction of the City leaders, the support of Long Bien ward authorities and the companionship of parents and local people.
Ms. Bui Thuy Linh emphasized that with the new facilities, the school’s teaching staff and students have more favorable conditions to improve the quality of comprehensive education. The school is determined to promote the effectiveness of the project, building Thach Ban High School into a “happy school”, where students are loved, study, practice, develop their capacity and qualities, become intelligent, brave, creative citizens, integrate into the world but still preserve Vietnamese identity.
Also at the event, the Organizing Committee announced the Decision of the Hanoi People's Committee on recognizing the project of Renovation and Upgrading of Thach Ban High School as a project to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. Mr. Nguyen Doan Toan, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the City Party Committee, presented the Certificate of Recognition of the City-level project and presented flowers to congratulate the school's teaching staff.
