The objective of the project “Enhancing Biodiversity through Coastal Forest Restoration: Demonstrating Biodiversity Benefits” is to plant native tree species to restore degraded natural sand forests in the coastal areas of Central Vietnam, contributing to enhancing biodiversity.
Specifically, about 13,000 native sand trees will be planted in the sand area of My Thuy commune, Quang Tri province; The project area will have improved coverage with larger green areas, contributing to creating a cool green environment, limiting erosion, sand drift and contributing to enhancing biodiversity; adapting to and mitigating climate change.
