The dances staged by Tuyet Minh often share good things, thoughts and concerns about human destiny.
Desire to renew
Born into a family with a tradition of art, both parents are Tuong artists, Tuyet Minh's path to the stage seemed to be "seeded" from a young age. She studied at the Vietnam Dance College (now the Vietnam Dance Academy) and spent 4 years studying in France. Each of her compositions is not simply a display of dance techniques but also becomes a story told through the body, a philosophy evoked through movement, a humane message imbued with the breath of the times.
"In Tuyet Minh's works, movement, in addition to its role as a physical technique, is also a "writing" to record thoughts, a "silent sound" to lead the audience into the character's inner world " - Meritorious Artist Ca Le Hong commented.

Tuyet Minh often exploits the body's flexibility and agility as a flow connecting tradition and modernity. Therefore, whether recreating the image of Vietnamese women in history or depicting the tragedy and aspirations of contemporary people, dance under Tuyet Minh's hands is always rich in symbolism, opening up many layers of meaning for the audience to contemplate. In addition, the humanity in each story told through dance is a slice of life, sublimated by artistic emotions. Sometimes, it is a gratitude for the past - where ordinary people have devoted themselves and sacrificed heroically.
The highlight of Tuyet Minh's career is bringing great literary works such as "Truyen Kieu", "Vo Chong A Phu", "Quan Am Thi Kinh"... to the dance, ballet and musical stages. For her, dance is not only graceful movements but also a storytelling language, a means to convey national spirit, humanistic aspirations and empathy between artists and the public.
One of her most notable works is the musical "The Helmsman", staged for the People's Public Security Theater, which won the Outstanding Performance Award at the 2022 National Dance Festival. With this play, she chose to portray President Ho Chi Minh in a musical style - a new and challenging genre. It was her desire for innovation, along with her special affection for Uncle Ho, that urged her to overcome the pressure to create an emotional and humane work, giving the audience a close and profound perspective on the nation's beloved leader.
Creating spiritual values
Previously, Tuyet Minh also attracted attention with her works about historical figures such as Saint Tran Hung Dao, Quang Trung - Nguyen Hue, Hai Ba Trung, female general Bui Thi Xuan, female hero Vo Thi Sau... Tuyet Minh confided: "Recreating historical figures is not only a way to preserve national memories, but also a way to nurture love for the Fatherland in the young generation".
On August 17, at the My Dinh National Convention Center ( Hanoi ), the art program "80 years - Glory of the Vietnam People's Public Security" took place in a sacred and solemn atmosphere. As the general director and scriptwriter, Tuyet Minh created an artistic space that was both majestic and emotional, recreating the 80-year journey of the glorious history of the People's Public Security force. She also excellently staged the political art program "Hanoi - From the historic autumn of 1945" - recreating the heroic history of the capital at the August Revolution Square (Hanoi).
People's Artist Tran Minh Ngoc commented: "The body language in Tuyet Minh's works does not stop at aesthetic value, but also contains educational value - arousing historical awareness and national cultural identity through the use of traditional materials combined with modern staging. Viewers seem to relearn lessons about the origins of national culture. It can be said that Tuyet Minh has affirmed a special position in contemporary Vietnamese dance life: an artist who uses the body to create spiritual values, educate aesthetics and awaken humanity".
In 2021, choreographer and director Tuyet Minh was honored to receive the State Prize for Literature and Arts with the dance works: "Return to Love", "Flower Season", "Love of Life". When receiving the award, she emotionally shared: "I am grateful to my friends and colleagues who have accompanied me. I will try to bring my works closer to the public, especially young audiences".
