On the afternoon of September 1, the news that Meritorious Artist Ngoc Trinh, a dedicated actress, director, and theater teacher, had breathed her last at the age of 52 shocked and saddened the artist community and the public. Just a few days ago, many colleagues still met and talked with her, now they had to bid farewell to a talented, passionate artist who had left this world too soon.

MC Quyen Linh choked up: "Ngoc Trinh always carried optimism within her. Even though there were difficult stages on stage, she still encouraged her colleagues and was still enthusiastic with the young generation. It is unbelievable that someone who was always full of energy like Ngoc Trinh passed away so soon."
MC Quyen Linh said that a month ago, Meritorious Artist Ngoc Trinh invited him to invest in building a stage for drama performances. "She was still very passionate about the profession, she told me to find a venue and build a stage. Before that project was completed, Ngoc Trinh left" - MC Quyen Linh cried.
Artist Gia Bao was moved when recalling the memory: "She once shared with me that as long as there were still audiences sitting below, she would continue to stand on stage to perform. I have been attached to her since the plays on the stage of the Ho Chi Minh City Drama Theater. She lived her life to the fullest for her profession, leaving her colleagues an example of perseverance and passion."

Movie actor Thuan Nguyen expressed his shock: "In my eyes, she is both a senior and a teacher. Every time I meet her, I receive sincere advice and instruction. The stage loses her, we lose a valuable mentor."
Master - Director Cao Tan Loc (Faculty of Theater, University of Theater and Cinema, Ho Chi Minh City) could not hide his emotion: "I have collaborated with Ngoc Trinh on many projects and later she returned to teach at the University of Theater and Cinema, Ho Chi Minh City. I clearly saw the heart and vision of an artist. She chose a difficult but humane path: nurturing the audience with profound roles. Leaving when there were still many plans, she left a big void for the Ho Chi Minh City theater".
Singer Dan Truong wrote on his personal page, recalling unforgettable memories when filming the play "Prince Herding Pigs" (directed by Doan Khoa) with Meritorious Artist Ngoc Trinh.
Master - Director Huu Tien shared: "This pain is too great. I still remember the times she came to class to teach instead, always carefully prepared lesson plans, always encouraged students with her own stage experience. Ngoc Trinh is gone, but the love for the profession she sowed remains forever."
Ngoc Trinh - A call from a close colleague
On her personal page, artist Viet Huong choked up: "You were the first sister to perform with me in the play "Nu Sinh" at the Young Drama Group. The play has many memories that you still mentioned about us until the last minute. Hello, goodbye. I wrote a few words in a state of confusion and disbelief, Trinh."
Author Nguyen Thanh Binh, who wrote the script for "Mua bong may" (Hero Film Entertainment Company Limited) and won the Best Author Award at the 2021 National Drama Festival, said: "Ngoc Trinh and Hoa Hiep are a pair of actors who are in perfect harmony, bringing home the gold medal for the play and also winning the individual gold medal. I have so many beautiful memories with Ngoc Trinh, it hurts so much to say goodbye to her."

Meritorious Artist Hanh Thuy burst into tears when she heard the news: "I just brought Mr. Phuc to his resting place, and before I could even get over it, I received the news of your passing. A passionate, enthusiastic sister, who had just completed her second degree and was waiting to defend her master's thesis... but left her journey unfinished, leaving behind many students who were just starting out in their careers. I pray that you rest in peace in the land of Buddha."
Artist Tu Trinh was moved: "I could not believe she would suddenly pass away at the height of her career."
Ngoc Trinh with a career full of impressions
Starting from the School of Stage Arts II (now the University of Theatre and Cinema, Ho Chi Minh City) in 1994, Meritorious Artist Ngoc Trinh soon made her mark with her lively roles. The role of Xang in "Dancing Heart" once moved IDECAF audiences and brought her the 2005 Mai Vang Award.
Roles such as: Ba in "Life as You Wish", Bich Hong in "Our House", or Mien in "The Doll That Doesn't Know How to Cry" are all shining milestones.
She won 2 Gold Medals at the National Professional Theater Festival (2012, 2020), and is also a director, show producer, translator, and MC. At the Young World Theater, she was the "soul" and the name that guaranteed the audience. In recent years, although not permanently attached to any stage, Ngoc Trinh has continued to give her all at drama festivals.
Rapper Tieu Minh Phuc choked up: "Life is so unpredictable. Last year on the Ancestor's Death Anniversary, I still met you, but this year I miss you. Goodbye Vy of "The Scent of Coriander", goodbye Roi of the play "After Tet, I'll Marry You". Rest in peace, Ngoc Trinh".
To her colleagues, Ngoc Trinh is a warm and devoted sister. To her students, she is a strict but loving teacher. To the audience, she is a talented artist, always living and dedicating herself to the stage with all her passion.
