Giant pumpkin in Da Lat weighs 174 kg, 4 people carried it out of the garden

In recent days, Mr. Nguyen Nhat Quang (residing in Cam Ly ward - Da Lat) said he has harvested giant pumpkins in his garden and sent them to provinces and cities for partners to order.
For many years, Mr. Quang's pumpkin garden has produced giant pumpkins that are famous in Da Lat, and are often ordered by tourist attractions across the country to display on special occasions.
On this occasion, Mr. Quang harvested dozens of giant pumpkins weighing from 70 to 170 kg, some of which were so heavy that it took 4 people to move them out of the garden.
Harvested pumpkins are gathered in the yard to be weighed, surface treated, and cleaned.
During the harvest, Mr. Quang's farm harvested the largest pumpkin ever, weighing 174 kg.
The pumpkin is 0.9 m long (when placed horizontally) and 2.8 m in circumference at its widest point. The gardener claims that this is the largest pumpkin ever grown in the garden. The largest pumpkin ever recorded weighed just over 126 kg and was harvested in 2019.
Dozens of other pumpkins weighing from 70 kg to over 100 kg were also harvested this time and some people ordered them. Mr. Quang said he has been experimenting with growing this pumpkin variety since 2019. Up to now, after many years of research and experience, his garden has produced positive results with a pumpkin weighing 174 kg.
The stem of the giant pumpkin is bigger than an adult's wrist.
The pumpkins will be technically processed to increase display time before being packaged and sent to customers.
The 170 kg pumpkin was carefully packaged when sent to Da Nang.
