Closing of the National Press Festival 2025

On the afternoon of June 21, in Hanoi, the 2025 National Press Festival with the theme "Vietnamese Press - Loyal, creative, courageous, innovative for the cause of building and defending the Fatherland" closed after 3 days of exciting and enthusiastic activities.

Attending the closing ceremony were Party Central Committee members: Le Quoc Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association; Pham Tat Thang, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission; Do Tien Sy, General Director of the Voice of Vietnam .

Also attending were comrades Le Hai Binh, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Phan Xuan Thuy, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission; leaders of the Vietnam Journalists Association and representatives of leaders of central departments, ministries, branches, press agencies, Journalists Associations at all levels; veteran journalists and the press-loving public.

National press conference demonstrates digital transformation trend in journalism

This year's National Press Festival has more than 124 central and local press agencies participating, with nearly 130 unique press booths of newspapers and magazines from popular to specialized, of major journalism training institutions, covering all aspects of the country's economic- political- cultural-social-defense-security-foreign affairs. Many press agencies demonstrate multi-platform press products, applying new technologies such as AI, 3D modeling, holofan, virtual reality...

Speaking at the closing ceremony, comrade Nguyen Duc Loi, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, said that through exhibitions, professional, cultural and artistic activities, the National Press Association highlighted the contributions and strong development of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press over the past 100 years, while promoting press products, achievements and creativity of journalists and members of the Vietnam Journalists Association nationwide.

One of the most prominent features of the 2025 Press Conference is the clear demonstration of the trend of digital transformation and technology application in journalism. Many agencies have brought multimedia press products, new technology applications such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality, augmented reality to attract readers, showing the initiative and determination of the press in keeping up with the pace of development of advanced technology in the world.

Specialized forums on artificial intelligence in journalism, digital journalism human resources, journalism economics... have attracted great attention, proving that these are issues that we are struggling with and seeking solutions to.

In addition to providing journalists with many quality professional activities, the Press Association also brings to the public elaborate and unique art programs. The events have been broadcast live on national television and radio, and spread to hundreds of press agencies of ministries, departments, branches, organizations and local press throughout the country.

The 2025 National Press Festival will dedicate all publications participating in the Festival to naval and border guards; demonstrating the interest and gratitude of the press and the whole society towards the forces that are day and night guarding the sea, islands and borders of the Fatherland.

Nhan Dan Newspaper won 2 A Prizes for Impressive Exhibition Booth and Impressive Press Product

Within the framework of the 2025 National Press Festival, the Organizing Committee and the Award Council voted and decided to: award 5 A prizes, 7 B prizes, 16 C prizes, 19 Encouragement prizes for the Impressive Display Booth award; award 3 A prizes, 3 B prizes, 12 C prizes for the Impressive Event and Activity award within the framework of the Press Festival; award 8 A prizes, 14 B prizes, 20 C prizes, 15 Encouragement prizes for the Impressive Press Product award.

Notably, the People's Newspaper Association was honored to receive the A prize for Impressive Display Booth; the A prize for Impressive Press Product with the Supplement product on 50 years of Southern Liberation and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); the C prize for Impressive Press Product with the cover of the People's Weekend Newspaper issue May 18, 2025.

Nhan Dan Newspaper won the A Prize for Impressive Press Products with the Supplement 50 years of Southern Liberation and National Reunification (April 30, 1975–April 30, 2025).

The Organizing Committee also awarded Certificates of "Contributing to the success of the National Press Festival 2025 - Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day" to collectives, units, and individuals; Certificates to entrepreneurs and enterprises "Accompanying the National Press Festival 2025 - Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day".
