Purse Net - The Art of Creating Shapes on the Ocean

During the anchovy season from May to July of the solar calendar every year, fishermen in Nhon Hoi village, An Hoa commune, Tuy An district, Phu Yen province, diligently fish for anchovies with seine nets - a profession that has been passed down through generations. The fishermen's nets at sea are always beautiful moments like paintings on the sea and a source of inspiration for photographers.

Large nets, when dropped into the sea, create unique and soft shapes like silk ribbons, under the sunlight or the lights of fishing boats, creating a vivid and colorful picture.

Photographers commented that, every moment the net was collected, its shape changed continuously, sometimes round, sometimes leaf-shaped, even heart-shaped, bringing a unique artistic beauty to the sea surface.
