"Shaking hands" to open up new opportunities in the tourism industry

After completing the merger between Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Dak Nong provinces, Lam Dong province's tourism industry is facing new opportunities and challenges. To fully exploit the province's tourism potential with sea and mountains, the tourism industry is actively seeking solutions for sustainable development. Sitting together, analyzing and finding the initial direction is the way that the Tourism Association and travel businesses have been implementing right from the time the new government took office.

Lam Dong, with its year-round cool climate, majestic natural landscapes and diverse culture, has long been an attractive destination for domestic and foreign tourists, and now has a promising space for sea tourism. However, to develop tourism sustainably, Lam Dong needs to face many challenges, including competition from the increasing demand of tourists and requirements for service quality. In particular, the merger with Binh Thuan and Dak Nong opens up opportunities for cooperation but also requires close links between localities.

Talking about the importance of linking localities in tourism development, Mr. Dang Quoc Chinh - Chairman of Lam Dong - Da Lat Tourism Association said: "We cannot develop tourism alone. Cooperation between provinces will help create more diverse and attractive tourism products, thereby attracting more tourists".

Travel and tourism businesses in Lam Dong province have just joined hands to develop the province's tourism industry to new heights.

One of the proposed solutions is to develop tours connecting prominent destinations in Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Dak Nong. This not only gives tourists the opportunity to experience many cultural and natural features unique to each locality but also creates opportunities for cooperation between travel businesses. For example, a tour can start from Da Lat, go through eco-tourism areas in Dak Nong and end at beautiful beaches in Binh Thuan.

To implement these linkage solutions, investment in tourism infrastructure is extremely necessary. Lam Dong tourism businesses have analyzed that it is necessary to improve the transportation system, build high-quality hotels, restaurants and support services. In particular, upgrading connecting routes helps tourists to easily travel and explore more destinations.

In addition, improving service quality is also an important factor. Travel businesses need to focus on training staff, improving service processes and creating unique experiences for tourists. Mr. Cao The Anh - Song Chau Company Limited shared: "We need to invest in service quality to meet the increasing needs of tourists. This not only helps retain customers but also creates a difference for our tourism products".

One of the important trends in the tourism industry today is the application of information technology. Enterprises in Lam Dong province have also recently recognized the need to build online platforms to promote tourism, provide information to tourists and facilitate tour and hotel bookings. This not only helps increase visitors’ accessibility but also creates an effective communication channel between businesses and customers.

In addition, to develop sustainable tourism, the participation of the community and social organizations is needed. Raising people's awareness of the value of tourism and encouraging them to participate in tourism activities will contribute to creating a more friendly and attractive tourism environment.

With the solutions being implemented, Lam Dong province hopes to create a breakthrough in the tourism industry, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the new province and improving the quality of life for the people. Close cooperation not only helps to increase the value of tourism but also creates a strong and sustainable tourism network in the future.
