On December 1, the Border Guard Command of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province announced that the unit had just discovered and arrested two subjects for illegally transporting and storing 30kg of various types of fireworks.

Previously, on the evening of November 30, in front of a house on Huynh Man Dat Street, Hai Lam Hamlet, Phuoc Hung Commune, Long Dien District (Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province), the Drug and Crime Prevention Department of the Provincial Border Guard in coordination with the Long Dien District Police discovered and caught Do Thanh Binh (born in 1989, residing in Phuoc Tinh Commune) in the act of illegally transporting explosive fireworks. At the scene, the police seized 8 firecrackers weighing about 13kg, 1 motorbike and 1 mobile phone.

Continuing the investigation, the authorities continued to discover and seize at the house of Le Thi Nhu Quynh (born in 1990, also residing in Phuoc Tinh commune) 6 boxes of firecrackers and 3 boxes of explosive fireworks with a total weight of about 17kg. Initial results determined that Quynh was the one who sold illegal fireworks to Binh.

The case is currently being investigated by the Border Guard of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province in coordination with Long Dien district police and the People's Procuracy at the same level.
