At this time, people, agencies and units in the area are urgently implementing storm prevention work No. 5, bracing houses, pruning trees... According to forecasts, storm No. 5 with strong winds and heavy rain over a wide area will directly affect Ha Tinh , posing a high risk of causing power grid failures, threatening people's lives and property.

On the morning of August 24, Ha Tinh Electricity Company continued to direct power units to coordinate with local authorities to deploy response plans: trimming trees at risk of falling onto power lines, checking vulnerable locations, and developing power outage scenarios in areas at risk of deep flooding and areas affected by heavy rains, etc. to ensure the safety of people's lives and property.

Mr. Pham Viet Thang - Deputy Director of Ha Tinh Power Company emphasized: "At present, 100% of power units have organized 24/24h on-duty, continuing to deploy solutions to ensure grid safety, ready to overcome incidents; at the same time, building response scenarios in complicated situations.

The company prioritizes restoring power to key areas such as hospitals, medical facilities, drainage pumping stations, and disaster prevention command centers. Regarding electrical safety among the people, the company requires its affiliated units to strengthen propaganda and advise people on preventive measures to minimize damage and protect people's lives and property.

The electricity industry recommends some important things to people: proactively reinforce and cover the electrical system in the family before storms; turn off the circuit breaker and circuit breaker when the house is flooded; do not handle electrical problems on your own, and immediately notify the electricity industry when detecting safety risks. After the storm, only use electricity again when there is safety confirmation from the electricity unit.

In particular, during storms, people should absolutely not take shelter from the rain under electric poles, transformer stations, or power lines; and should not touch broken or fallen electric wires or flooded or leaking electrical equipment.

In the process of clearing trees and tying down houses, people need to be careful and apply safety measures, especially in areas where power lines pass through.

Mr. Tran Anh Dung - Head of the Thanh Sen Area Electricity Management Team said: "In the past few days, the unit has coordinated with the authorities to propagate through loudspeakers, instructing people to re-check the electrical system after the meter, promptly replace damaged wires and equipment to avoid leakage and fire. On the morning of August 24, the unit continued to coordinate with the Urban Environment and Construction Joint Stock Company, the Ward Public Utilities and Urban Order Management Board to trim large trees, check the power grid, power stations, and ensure safety during storms".

In the area managed by the Cam Xuyen Regional Electricity Management Team, technical staff were present at key locations to propagate and guide people to ensure electrical safety while tying down houses and boats.

Mr. Pham Tuan Anh - Head of the Cam Xuyen Power Management Team recommended: “We have issued an official dispatch to all customers regarding the implementation of electrical safety solutions during storms. People absolutely must not use electric poles to anchor boats; need to check the wires and electric poles behind the meter, do not let the wires break or be flooded when it rains heavily. During thunderstorms and storms, limit going out, absolutely do not take shelter under electric poles or power stations. When the water is flooded, the power source in the family must be cut off immediately to prevent risks”.

Along with direct propaganda, Ha Tinh Electricity Company and its affiliated units also increased the posting of posters, videos , and images instructing on electrical safety on social networks, and coordinated with press agencies to produce news, articles, and reports warning of the risk of electrical accidents.
