Contrary to expectations, the Vietnamese team suffered a 0-4 defeat against Malaysia in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers last night. This defeat made the chance of winning a ticket to the Asian Cup for coach Kim Sang Sik's team narrower.

Commenting on the defeat of the Vietnamese team, Thairath (Thailand) newspaper affirmed: “The Vietnamese team could not withstand Malaysia and suffered a heavy defeat with a score of 0-4”. This newspaper believes that the “Golden Dragons” do not have much chance to participate in the 2027 Asian Cup.

Another Thai newspaper, Siam Sport, commented: “Malaysia attacked explosively in the second half. They crushed the Vietnamese team with a score of 4-0. This is the second consecutive victory of the “Tigers”. They have won all 6 points and have a great chance of winning a ticket to the Asian Cup.

In this match, Malaysia tried to control the ball and attack but could not score in the first half. However, in the second half, the situation changed. Joao Figueiredo scored the opening goal in the second half, breaking the deadlock for Malaysia. After that, the "Tigers" scored three more goals thanks to Rodrigo Holgado, Corbin-Ong and Dion Cools".

Bola (Indonesia) newspaper said that the Malaysian team completely overwhelmed the Vietnamese team. The Indonesian newspaper said that the naturalized stars helped Malaysia win big against the “Golden Star Warriors”.

The Indonesian newspaper commented: “Malaysia won an overwhelming victory over the Vietnamese team. The presence of new naturalized players has helped the team change completely. All of Malaysia’s goals have the mark of naturalized players.

The loss to Malaysia forced coach Kim Sang Sik to apologize to the fans. He took responsibility for the unforgettable defeat against Malaysia.

CNN Indonesia also talked a lot about Malaysia's new naturalized players: "The Malaysian team has created a revolution by using many naturalized players. They won a historic 4-0 victory over the Vietnamese team, ending 11 years of not being able to defeat this opponent. Naturalized players can create a boost for Malaysian football in the future."

In the next round of matches taking place in October, the Vietnamese team will play two matches against Nepal. On October 9, we will welcome this opponent at home. On October 14, the "Golden Dragons" will visit Nepal.
