Pep Guardiola's close friend leaves Man City

Asked about Begiristain's departure last year, Pep Guardiola said: "A part of me is going to be lost. He was a close friend, a great architect who created two great teams. He will be missed very much personally."

In contrast to Begiristain, Guardiola decided to stay with Man City for another 2 years, until the summer of 2027. If he completes this contract, Guardiola will stay with Man City for 11 years.
