The flight route connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Bangkok, expected to operate from the end of November 2024, will mark Bamboo Airways' re-establishment of its international scheduled flight network after a period of only operating domestic routes.

Bamboo Airways flight schedule from Ho Chi Minh City to Bangkok.

From November 26, Bamboo Airways will launch a regular direct flight, connecting Tan Son Nhat International Airport (Ho Chi Minh City) with Don Mueang International Airport (Bangkok, Thailand), with a frequency of 1 round trip/day.

Bamboo Airways flights departing from Vietnam have very convenient flight times, helping visitors easily travel to central Bangkok and check in at hotels after landing without having to wait long.

On the occasion of re-opening the route, Bamboo Airways offers an unprecedentedly attractive promotion - from only 0 VND/way (excluding taxes and fees) and applies to all of the airline's official distribution channels, to thank all customers who always trust and choose to fly with Bamboo Airways.

From today, customers can book tickets to Thailand through the airline's official distribution channels: Bamboo Airways website/mobile application, ticket offices, and official agents nationwide.

According to Mr. Luong Hoai Nam, General Director of Bamboo Airways, this event marks an important milestone, when the airline officially re-establishes its regular international flight network after a full year of suspension to focus on restructuring. This is strong evidence of Bamboo Airways' positive recovery and a step in the right direction according to the set roadmap.

“With daily flights connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Bangkok – the two major economic centers of Vietnam and Thailand, Bamboo Airways hopes to bring another convenient and easy flight option for tourists from both countries, especially during the peak holiday season at the end of the year,” added Mr. Luong Hoai Nam.

“Vietnam is geographically very close to Thailand. Traveling between the two countries is very convenient. Most Vietnamese tourists return to Thailand for the second or third time instead of the first time. In addition, Thailand is also a favorite weekend destination for Vietnamese people because of its convenience and the lack of need for prior planning,” said a representative of the Tourism Authority of Thailand.

On the contrary, Vietnam is also in the top 3 countries visited by Thai tourists the most in 2023, with Particularly popular destinations such as: Da Lat, Nha Trang, Sapa, Hanoi , Da Nang, ...

Understanding the needs of tourists, Bamboo Airways has carefully researched and chosen Thailand as the first connection point when re-establishing the flight network connecting Southeast Asian countries. Previously, Bamboo Airways had put into operation regular flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Bangkok (from April 2022) and Hanoi to Bangkok (from March 2023).

In addition, to meet the increased travel demand during the peak period at the end of the year and the New Year of the Snake, Bamboo Airways plans to add 2 new aircraft from now until the end of 2024. On that basis, the airline will consider increasing the frequency of operating existing routes, while re-operating many domestic routes to Thanh Hoa, Phu Quoc... and regular international routes, the first of which is the route connecting Thailand.
