Gabriel Martinelli could leave Arsenal. |
According to The Guardian , despite negotiations to sign Gyokeres from Sporting CP, Arsenal still wants to buy more strikers, with Alexander Isak (Newcastle United) and Rodrygo Goes (Real Madrid) two potential targets.
To realize that ambition, Arsenal will have to sell players in the summer of 2025. Al Nassr has offered to spend €85m (£73m) to recruit Gabriel Martinelli. If the deal is successful, Arsenal will have a significant amount of money to reinvest.
As well as Martinelli, Arsenal could also raise more than £50m from defenders Jakub Kiwior and Oleksandr Zinchenko. Up front, Leandro Trossard and Reiss Nelson are valued at around £20m each, while Albert Sambi Lokonga and Fábio Vieira could also bring in additional funds.
In total, Arsenal could raise between £150-200m if they sell these seven players, allowing them to spend more on their attacking options. Selling more players could weaken Arsenal's squad depth, especially as they compete in both the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League.
However, Arsenal are at a stage where they need to add quality rather than quantity. The Gunners have just completed the signing of midfielder Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad for a fee of nearly 70 million euros (60 million pounds). If they complete the Gyokeres deal for more than 60 million pounds, Arsenal will need to sell players if they want to continue shopping.
