Like many other tech giants, Apple CEO also wants to meet privately with US President-elect Donald Trump.

On the evening of December 13 (US time), US President-elect Donald Trump had a private meeting with Apple CEO Tim Cook at the Trump family's Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, Reuters news agency quoted a source as saying.
Mr Trump will take office as US president in January 2025. While campaigning in October, Mr Trump said he had received a call from Mr Cook over concerns about financial penalties imposed by the European Union on the US iPhone maker.
European regulators have launched a series of investigations into major tech companies in recent years, aiming to curb their power and ensure a level playing field for smaller rivals.
In the US, a lawsuit filed with the US Department of Justice also accuses Apple of illegally dominating the smartphone market.
According to Reuters, many business leaders have tried to maintain good relationships with Mr. Trump, after he was elected US president in November.
Billionaire Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta company recently donated $1 million to Trump’s inauguration fund. Following Meta’s lead, billionaire Jeff Bezos’ Amazon also donated $1 million to the fund.
Bank of America, the second-largest US bank, also plans to contribute to Mr Trump's inaugural committee, but has not yet decided on the amount.
Many top leaders of some of America's biggest technology companies, including Apple CEO Tim Cook, Google CEO Sundar Pichai and Amazon CEO Andy Jassy, had hoped to meet with Mr. Trump before the November 5 election.
