According to TechCrunch , across social media platforms, a series of iPhone users are complaining about the Wallet app constantly sending notifications with a $10 discount offer at Fandango when buying two or more tickets to the blockbuster racing film F1 The Movie , co-produced by Apple.
"I didn't pay over $1,000 for an iPhone to be constantly bombarded with ads," Reddit user u/captain42d complained.
Meanwhile, another post has received dozens of responses about how to disable ads in Apple Pay. According to TechCrunch , while there is a new option in the iOS 26 beta to disable Apple Wallet ads, that option is not available in the current version of iOS.
Non-beta users only have the option to turn off notifications or disable the display of card offers from Wallet during checkout.
F1 The Movie is directed by Joseph Kosinski, who was successful with Top Gun: Maverick. The project has the participation of veteran filmmaker Jerry Bruckheimer and famous F1 racer Lewis Hamilton.
In the film, Brad Pitt plays a veteran racer who returns to the track after many years of absence. Notably, the film was filmed live at actual F1 races, to increase the authenticity of the action scenes.
The F1 The Movie star couldn't hide his excitement as he described it as "the most immersive racing movie ever made." Meanwhile, Tim Cook emphasized the role of technology in the production process, especially the ability to shoot high-speed footage on the iPhone.
This is the device used to film the most scenes in the cockpit of a racing car at very high speeds.
