Qualcomm said it will hold its Snapdragon Summit from October 24 to 26, where the company will launch the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, a high-end SoC expected to appear in most flagships launched in the first half of next year.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset is built on the N4P node, improving performance without sacrificing power efficiency.
In addition, the manufacturer is also developing two versions of this SoC, with one of them having two Cortex-X4 cores instead of one.
However, to save power, the commercial version will likely use a single Cortex-X4 core, with the final configuration said to be “1 + 5 + 2”.
Additionally, other information shared that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 achieved a single-core score of 1,930 and a multi-core score of 6,236. That means the CPU performance increased by about 25% compared to the current best Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
