The two players fought for every point, tied in 12 games, had to enter a tie-break series and Daniil Medvedev's tenacity helped him win 7-3.

In the previous semi-final, the Kazakh player excellently defeated Karen Khachanov in 3 sets with the scores of 4-6, 7-6, 6-4.
