Alcaraz won the 2025 Roland Garros championship.

Not only did Alcaraz win his fifth Grand Slam title after a spectacular comeback against Sinner, he also took home a bonus of 2.55 million euros for winning the men's singles championship at Roland Garros 2025. This is the highest prize of the tournament, equal to the prize given to the women's singles champion, Coco Gauff.

Runners-up Sinner and Aryna Sabalenka, despite not being crowned, still left Paris with 1.275 million euros in prize money each - no small sum for a two-week journey of tension and drama.

This year, Roland Garros has a total prize fund of 56.352 million euros, an increase of 5.21% compared to last year. The organizing committee has proactively adjusted to distribute the prize money more reasonably to the players in every round, instead of just concentrating it in the final round.

Specifically, players who stop in the first round still receive 78,000 euros - a number that is enough to help many names ranked outside the top 100 continue to maintain their careers. In the third round, the bonus is up to 168,000 euros. The bonus levels continue to increase sharply in the later rounds: 265,000 euros for the round of 16, 440,000 euros for the quarter-finals and 690,000 euros for reaching the semi-finals.

In addition to prize money, players also accumulate important ATP and WTA ranking points, opening up opportunities to improve their world rankings - which can determine their status and benefits in the next major tournaments.

On the night of June 8, Carlos Alcaraz made an incredible comeback against Jannik Sinner with a score of 3-2 (4-6, 6-7, 6-4, 7-6, 7-6), thereby successfully defending the Roland Garros championship.
