(GLO)- In Decision 885/QD-BTTTT just signed by the Ministry of Information and Communications , the set of criteria for assessing digital infrastructure development of provinces and centrally-run cities (DII criteria set) is determined with 24 component criteria.

Accordingly, the DII criteria set is divided into 6 groups: Plan to promote and support digital infrastructure development (maximum score of 80 points), with 4 component criteria; Broadband telecommunications infrastructure (maximum score of 60 points), with 6 component criteria; Cloud computing infrastructure (maximum score of 20 points), with 1 component criterion.

Digital technology infrastructure (maximum score of 30 points), has 3 component criteria; Digital platform (maximum score of 20 points), has 1 component criterion and telecommunications service usage (maximum score of 90 points), has 9 component criteria.

In particular, regarding the criteria for the plan to promote and support the development of digital infrastructure, there are 4 component criteria including: Issuing a plan to develop digital infrastructure of the province/city according to the instructions of the Department of Telecommunications (maximum score of 35 points); issuing a plan to solve difficulties in deploying digital infrastructure in the locality (maximum score of 15 points); issuing a plan to support poor and near-poor households, social policy families and policy beneficiaries with at least 1 smart device (through the Program to provide public telecommunications services) (maximum score of 15 points); issuing a plan to disseminate, guide and propagate the transition to using smartphones and using digital platforms (maximum score of 15 points).

The Department of Information and Communications of provinces and centrally-run cities shall report the results of the implementation of a number of criteria in the DII Criteria Set of their localities according to the guidance of the Department of Telecommunications. In addition, the Department of Telecommunications shall synthesize and send the results of the first assessment to the Department of Information and Communications for confirmation of the assessment results or comments on the results of the first assessment for their localities.

Based on the confirmation or comments on the first assessment results of the Departments of Information and Communications, the Department of Telecommunications evaluates the second results and reports to the Ministry of Information and Communications for consideration and approval of the assessment results and ranking of the level of digital infrastructure development of provinces and centrally-run cities.
