On the afternoon and evening of July 12, the final round and closing ceremony of the 2025 Bia Saigon Dragon Cup National 7-a-side Football Championship - Southern region (SPL-S7) took place at Gia Dinh Stadium (HCMC).
Leading the rankings with 1 point more than the team behind, MyMy FC, 36 Hoang Nong Thao Vy entered the decisive match with a proactive mindset. As a result, they defeated Phuc Khang FC with a score of 8-4. Among them, Nguyen Minh Nhat shone with a poker, and also won the title of Top Scorer with 10 goals.

Closing SPL-S7, 36 Hoang Nong Thao Vy won 25 points after 7 wins, 4 draws to remain undefeated all season and deservedly win the championship. This achievement also helped coach Nguyen Ngoc Thanh Phu be honored as the best coach of the tournament.
Speaking after the match, coach Thanh Phu shared: “SPL-S7 is one of the most intense and fair seasons in the past 4-5 years. Both the championship and relegation races are fierce until the last round. That shows the professional development as well as the increasingly high competitiveness of the tournament.
Although we are just rookies, with the determination of the team and the thorough investment from the leadership, we have overcome the challenge to become the champion. The whole team will continue to prepare more carefully for the upcoming national finals."
MyMy FC ranked second with 22 points, while Bamboo FC won third with 21 points.
According to the tournament format, 36 Hoang Nong Thao Vy and MyMy FC will become the two official representatives of SPL-S7 to participate in the national final round (VPL-S6) in Hanoi next weekend. Bamboo FC will also have the opportunity to compete for a wild card, thanks to meeting the professional standards according to the tournament regulations.
On the other hand, Bay Nui FC, thanks to a 5-3 victory over Thep Viet Thang, completed their goal of staying in the league. At the same time, Bay Nui FC's direct opponent, Huu Dinh FC, only had a 0-0 draw with MyMy FC, thereby failing to keep their direct spot in the SPL next season.
