According to EVN, these 29 transitional renewable energy plants/parts of plants have a total capacity of 1,577.65 MW, have completed the procedures for commercial operation recognition (COD), and are generating commercial electricity to the grid.
The cumulative electricity output of transitional renewable energy projects from COD to May 23 reached more than 2,597 billion kWh.
EVN said that as of May 23, 81/85 transitional renewable energy projects with a total capacity of 4,597.86 MW had submitted documents to the Electricity Trading Company (under EVN) to negotiate electricity prices.
Of these, 72 projects with a total capacity of 4,128.01 MW proposed a provisional price equal to 50% of the ceiling price of the price frame according to Decision No. 21 dated January 7, 2023 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade . EVN and the investor have completed price negotiations and initialed PPA contracts with 63/72 projects. The Ministry of Industry and Trade has approved provisional prices for 63 projects with a total capacity of 3,429.41 MW.
Only about 1,577 MW of electricity from transitional renewable energy projects has been transmitted to the grid.
To date, 32 projects have been accepted by competent state management agencies for the construction/part of the construction; 37 projects have been granted electricity operation licenses for the entire plant/part of the plant; 41 projects have had decisions to extend investment policies.
There are currently 4 projects with a total capacity of 136.7 MW that have not yet submitted documents for electricity price negotiation.
Previously, information on transitional renewable energy projects updated by EVN up to November 10, 2023 showed that 21 transitional renewable energy plants/parts of plants (total capacity of 1,201.42 MW) completed COD procedures and have generated commercial electricity to the grid with an electricity output (calculated from the COD time) of nearly 793.4 million kWh.
Thus, after more than half a year, 8 more renewable energy plants/parts of plants have completed COD procedures to generate commercial electricity to the grid. Accordingly, the electricity output to the grid increased from 793.4 million kWh to 2.597 billion kWh.
In addition, after more than 6 months, the number of projects proposing a temporary price equal to 50% of the ceiling price of the price frame also increased from 69 projects to 72 projects; the number of projects approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade for a temporary price increased by 1 project, from 62 to 63; the number of projects accepted by the management agency increased from 24 to 32 projects; the number of projects granted electricity operation licenses increased by 7 projects, from 30 to 37 projects; and the number of projects with a decision to extend the investment policy increased by 1 project, from 40 to 41 projects...
