21 department-level leaders in Lam Dong apply for retirement and quit their jobs

On August 25, the Department of Home Affairs of Lam Dong province said that it had submitted to the Provincial People's Committee a proposal to apply the regime and policies according to Decree 178/2024/ND-CP for civil servants and public employees holding leadership positions under the management of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee.

This proposal comes from units such as the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Department of Industry and Trade, the Department of Health, the Department of Construction, the Department of Science and Technology, the Department of Justice, the Office of the Department of Home Affairs, the Provincial Industrial Zones Management Board and the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion. There are a total of 21 cases, including 20 deputy directors of departments and one director of the center.

The review results showed that 18 people applied for early retirement and three people applied for resignation. Of these, 20 cases are eligible for policies under Decree 178, and one case is under consideration.

According to the Department of Home Affairs, the Provincial People's Committee has not yet issued specific regulations on the number of deputy directors in each department. However, after the organizational arrangement, the number of deputy directors of departments in Lam Dong is currently 79 people in excess.

Therefore, resolving the resignation wishes of leaders both ensures personal rights and contributes to streamlining the apparatus.
