According to a survey by the Center for Communications and Events under the Office of the Ministry of Education and Training, out of a total of 259 universities and colleges of education, 271 have websites (accounting for 95.57%). Of the remaining 12 schools that do not have websites, 10 are colleges of education.

The data was provided at the 2023 Conference on office work and communications of universityeducation institutions and pedagogical colleges held on the afternoon of October 2 at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology.

The website is considered an official information channel and an important communication channel of educational institutions, but up to now, there are still 12 universities and colleges of education that do not have a website.

"It is worth mentioning that, of the 259/271 schools that have websites, not many schools are linked to the Ministry of Education and Training's Electronic Information Portal, or have placed the Ministry's Electronic Information Portal banner on the interface," said the leader of the Ministry's Office.

Along with that, if 257/271 surveyed schools are operating Facebook fanpages (accounting for 94.83%), then among the remaining 14 schools that do not operate fanpages, there are also 10 pedagogical colleges.

Of the 257 schools operating Facebook fanpages, only 122 have a blue tick (Facebook's official confirmation stamp for fanpages or personal accounts), accounting for 47.47%. Most of these fanpages are not linked to the Ministry of Education and Training's fanpage.

However, according to the representative of the Office of the Ministry of Education and Training, the work of educational communication in the block of universities and colleges of education has had positive movements in recent times. Units have recognized the importance of communication, so they have paid attention and invested, and the method of implementing communication has also become increasingly professional and effective.

The survey results show that all higher education institutions have independent, professionally operating communications departments or offices with well-trained staff. The schools have also grasped and kept up with the trends of the digital age, applying technology to serve and diversifying forms of communication.

According to a representative of the Ministry of Education and Training, educational communication is one of the five basic solutions implemented by the education sector to implement Resolution No. 29-NQ/TW on fundamental and comprehensive innovation in education and training. In the 2023-2024 school year, the Ministry of Education and Training identified educational communication as one of the 12 key tasks.
