Accordingly, recently, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has received proposals to build intangible cultural heritage dossiers to request UNESCO to include them in the "List of Representative Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity" from 4 localities, including: Practice of worshipping Mother Goddess Thien YA Na in Khanh Hoa province by Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee; Pho by Hanoi City People's Committee; Folk knowledge of growing and processing Hung Yen longan by Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee; Knowledge of growing and processing Dak Lak coffee by Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee.

After studying the dossiers of the four localities, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism found that these four heritages are likely to meet the criteria stipulated in the 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO (2003 Convention), from which it can develop dossiers to request inscription on the lists of the 2003 Convention. Therefore, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism proposed that the Prime Minister allow the four provinces and cities: Khanh Hoa, Hanoi, Hung Yen and Dak Lak to develop dossiers for the four related intangible cultural heritages mentioned above to submit and propose to UNESCO for inscription. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will coordinate with the localities in the process of developing these four heritage dossiers to send to UNESCO.

According to the plan, in December this year, at the 20th session of the Intergovernmental Committee of the 2003 Convention, the dossier of Dong Ho folk painting craft will be considered for inclusion in the list of intangible cultural heritages in need of urgent safeguarding.

In Khanh Hoa province, there are 3 intangible cultural heritages recognized by UNESCO including: Southern amateur music art; traditional pottery art of the Cham people; and bai choi art.
