The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a recommendation for Vietnamese citizens living, studying and working in Israel and Iran to comply with regulations and instructions on security and safety measures of the government.

Citizens need to stay in touch and closely monitor warning information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Vietnamese representative agencies in Israel and Iran and prepare plans to safely evacuate to a third country or return to Vietnam.

"There are more than 700 Vietnamese citizens in Israel, 37 Vietnamese nationals and 4 people of Vietnamese origin in Iran. So far, no casualties have been recorded among the Vietnamese community in these two areas," the spokesperson said.

In recent days, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other ministries and sectors have discussed and carefully studied plans and directed Vietnamese representative agencies in Israel and Iran as well as in neighboring countries to closely monitor the situation and request local authorities to ensure maximum safety for Vietnamese citizens living, studying and working in dangerous areas.

Units of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and representative agencies closely coordinate with domestic authorities, diplomatic agencies of other countries in Hanoi , and local diplomatic missions to develop protection plans, ensure safety for citizens, representative agency headquarters, and develop plans to evacuate Vietnamese citizens to a third country.

The spokesperson said that today, the Vietnamese Embassy in Iran coordinated with the Vietnamese Embassy in the Russian Federation as well as relevant countries to carry out citizen protection work, to bring 18 citizens in Iran to a third country and back to Vietnam.

Ms. Hang also said that she had just received information that the Vietnamese Embassy in Iran, including the Ambassador and four officials, are still in contact with the remaining citizens in Iran. These citizens are safe and mentally stable, and are in close contact with the Embassy.

The Embassy in Iran also regularly recommends that people stay vigilant, avoid crowded places, strictly comply with regulations and instructions to ensure security and safety of local authorities, and closely monitor warning information.

"Since the conflict broke out in this area, we have continuously sent out warnings and citizen protection bulletins," Ms. Hang shared.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Israel has opened an online registration portal for citizens wishing to return home or go to a third country to make a list, summarize needs, and develop support plans.

The Embassy also recommends that Vietnamese citizens remain calm, proactive, and, if possible, find a way to leave Israel via land border gates when security and safety conditions allow.

The Vietnamese Embassy recommends that citizens proactively prepare and seek to leave Israel by land and has set up a hotline so that people can contact it at any time.
