Warning of heat wave up to 39 degrees Celsius in Khanh Hoa province

According to the bulletin of the Hydrometeorological Station of Khanh Hoa province, on July 15, the province experienced widespread heat waves. The highest temperature was commonly between 35 and 37 degrees Celsius; the lowest humidity was between 40 and 55%.

Due to the influence of the southern edge of the low pressure trough with an axis of 22-25 degrees north latitude connecting with the hot low pressure area in the west, on July 16, Khanh Hoa province continued to experience heat waves and severe heat waves in the mountainous areas. The highest temperature during the day is commonly 35-37 degrees Celsius in coastal areas, 37-39 degrees Celsius in mountainous areas; the lowest relative humidity during the day is commonly 40-50%. The time with temperatures above 35 degrees Celsius is from 10 to 15 hours.

Specifically, the areas: Van Ninh, Dai Lanh, Dong Ninh Hoa, Dien Khanh, Nha Trang have temperatures of 34 - 36 degrees Celsius; Thuan Nam, Ninh Phuoc, Phan Rang, Thuan Bac, Cam Lam, Cam Ranh, Ninh Hai generally have temperatures of 36 - 38 degrees Celsius. The highest are the areas: Tay Ninh Hoa, Khanh Vinh, Tay Khanh Vinh, Khanh Son, Bac Ai, Ninh Son with temperatures of 37 - 39 degrees Celsius. The severe heat is forecast to continue for many days to come.

Experts warn that due to the effects of hot weather combined with low humidity, there is a high risk of explosions and fires in residential areas due to increased demand for electricity, and a high risk of forest fires in the province. In addition, hot weather can also cause dehydration, exhaustion, and heat stroke in the human body when exposed to high temperatures for a long time.
