The play "The 9th Oath" aired on "Television Stage"

The program “Television Stage” of Hanoi Radio and Television will continue to bring another play by author Luu Quang Vu, “The 9th Oath”, broadcast live on Hanoi 2 channel, broadcast on radio and all digital platforms of the station, at 8:00 p.m. on June 8, from the Youth Theater.

In particular, with 4K UHD image standard, the program will bring optimal visual and audio experience to viewers.

“Television Stage” is a program produced by Hanoi Radio and Television under the direction of the Hanoi Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, aiming to bring classic theatrical works rich in ideological and artistic values closer to the public.

The program will introduce famous plays of many types of theater: drama, cheo, cai luong... All will be broadcast live on television, radio and digital platforms of Hanoi Radio and Television. This opens up a large space for theater, not just a stage, but a mass media, multi-platform with high image and sound quality.

The “TV stage” opened with the play “Me and Us” produced by the Hanoi Drama Theater, broadcast on the evening of June 1. After the success of the play, Hanoi Radio and Television continued to coordinate with the Youth Theater to perform the play “The 9th Oath” - one of the outstanding political works of playwright Luu Quang Vu.

First performed in 1988, “The Ninth Oath” not only tells the story of three soldiers during the social upheavals of the early period of reform, but is also a courageous indictment of bureaucracy, hypocrisy and the corruption of power, and a moving declaration of faith in justice, reason and integrity. The issues raised in the play remain relevant today over the years.

The play “The 9th Oath” was directed by the late People’s Artist Xuan Huyen. In this collaboration between Hanoi Radio and Television and the Youth Theatre, the play features beloved actors such as Meritorious Artist Duc Khue, Thanh Duong, Thanh Son, Duc Anh, Thu Quynh…
